The teaching of the Punjabi Language is the essential function of each Community Organization of the Punjabies and more specifically, of the Sikhs. The Sikh Heritage and the Punjabi language are inseparable. Younger generations of Sikhs can learn about their most valuable and rich Heritage only if they can read and speak Punjabi. Guru Granth Sahib , the Religious Scripture with a Universal message of Truth, is written in Punjabi script, using Gurmukhi Lippi, and thus, the Sikhs cannot afford to ignore the teaching of Punjabi language to their children.
Akali Singh Sikh Society of Vancouver, BC, offers different levels of Punjabi learning classes, free of cost to children based on their age and knowledge of the Punjabi Language who join these classes.
To learn more about the Punjabi language and its Grammar, go to read at ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਆਕਰਨ/ Punjabi language and its Grammar.
